Location & useful information
Shops
There is a large supermarket, Intermarche (previously known as Ecomarche) at Budens, 5 mins drive. There is also a small supermarket in Salema village.
Restaurants
There are plenty of restaurants in Salema and neighbouring villages of Budens, Burgau, Luz, V do Bispo and Sagres.
Lagos is about 20mins by car and there are more restaurants/bars and the marina.
Getting around
There is public transport, but a car would be useful for exploring and visiting the local beaches/villages.
Travel
There are many low cost charter and scheduled flights daily to Faro. Your journey time from the Faro airport to The View will be approximately 1hr (100km) by car. Directions will be provided. Please note the main motorway to the Western Algarve (IP1) has introduced tolls, please enquire with your car hire company for more information.
Activities
The western algarve caters for most people's requirements, such as surfing, tennis, horseriding, swimming etc.
Coast/Beaches
There are numerous beaches in the area, at Salema, Figuiera, Zavial, Ingrina, Luz, Martinhal, Sagres, Burgau, Lagos, all within a 20 minute drive.
